PROOF - tyfo footbeds muscle activation CAN IMPROVE SPEED.

October 2019 - Independent test conducted to study if activated foot muscles can generate more speed for a human running 60 metres.

 

Group A

10 Young sporty adults called the  'Control Group' wear their own running shoes.

 

Group B

10 Young sporty adults called the 'Test Group' wear tyfo Footbed 4s inside their own running shoes.

 

Disclaimer : 

  • tests carried out independently without any involvement of Tyfo personnel.

  • 20 athletes between 18-22 were randomly selected and split into 2 groups without any prejudice.

Test 1 - All runners asked to sprint 60 metres.

Times for each runner taken and mean average times for each group calculated as follows: ​

Group A mean average: 9.17 seconds

Group B mean average: 9.45 seconds

All 20 athletes asked to train at least 4 times a week for 6 weeks.

Test 2 - All runners asked to sprint 60 metres.

Times for each runner taken and mean average times for each group calculated as follows:

Group A mean average: 8.96 seconds

Group B mean average: 8.77 seconds

Results - Group B showed 3x speed improvement

Group A: Faster by an average of 0.21 seconds shows that some training increased speed.

Group B: Faster by an average of 0.68 seconds over 60 meters which is a very significant increase.

In Test 1, Group A had more runners under 9 seconds than group B, however in Test 2 Group B now achieved more runners under 9 seconds than group A.
